The 19th of December would be the day of the annual ty hamper pack. Every year the ty students pack hampers for Saint Vincent De Paul. The hampers are then distributed to families in need in our local area.
When we went down to the sports hall we were divided into different groups with two fifth years per group to help us pack the hampers. Each group was in charge of packing roughly twenty hampers. We spent most of the morning packing items like beans and pasta to items like chocolates and biscuits. After we had made sure that each hamper had 1 or 2 of each item we packed them away and headed up to the canteen for some hot chocolate.
Overall I enjoyed this experience amd felt good seing all the packages that I had filled knowing that they would be used to help somebody in need. I would recommend this to any other school as it only takes a little bit of money and time and hope to be envolved in helping next years ty students pack their hampers.
